Barbara O’Gorman graduated with a Commercial Teacher’s Certificate from The New Brunswick Institute of Technology in 1966. In 1982 she completed a Legal Secretarial Arts and Science program at Sheridan College and in 1984 went on to complete a Legal Assistant and Administration program from Humber College. She has completed an Alternative Dispute Resolution course held by the Institute of Law Clerks and The Law Society of Upper Canada. Before joining Thomson, Rogers she operated her own paralegal business. She is currently a university student at Brock University in the Bachelor of Education, Adult Education program and anticipates to graduate in June of 2012.
 

Barbara has over twenty years of progressive responsibility as a law clerk. She regularly attends and successfully resolves accident benefit issues on behalf of victims at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. She regularly participates as a team member on both Non-Catastrophic and Catastrophic cases. She has extensive knowledge of the various Statutory Accident Benefits Schedules and, in particular, issues related to catastrophic impairments.
 

Barbara has been working with David MacDonald, a partner at Thomson, Rogers, for the past nine years.
 

Barbara has lectured other law clerks to update their skills and knowledge at the request of the Department of Education at The Law Society of Upper Canada in June of 2002.
