Law in Action within Schools Programs (LAWS) is an innovative partnership between the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, Osgoode Hall Law School and the Toronto District School Board designed to deliver an education program aimed at supporting, guiding and motivating high school students. Proposed government changes to automobile legislation will dramatically impact treatment options and benefits car crash survivors are entitled to receive.

In an effort to prepare the brain injury community for the impending changes, PIA Law in association with the Toronto ABI Network are hosting an informative conference to provide crucial insight as to how these cuts will affect the brain injury community.

Along with Thomson, Rogers, hundreds of protesters were at Queen's Park on June 3rd rallying against reductions in auto insurance benefits which they say will have the most effect on victims with catastrophic injuries. 

Despite the protest, changes to auto insurance benefits for motor vehicle accident victims passed in the Ontario legislature as part of the provincial budget.

Rally for Accident Victims      

 

Tomorrow at noon, Thomson, Rogers will be joining the Accident Benefit Coalition and many others at a rally in Queen’s Park in support of accident victims. Hear stories from accident victims and other concerned citizens who will be speaking out and demanding that the Ontario Government stop reducing the province’s much-needed accident benefits.
