On Friday, August 22, 2014 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., Disabled Sailing Association Ontario is celebrating 15 years as part of the waterfront community with A Night of Art and Culture, a fundraiser taking place at PawsWay, 245 Queen's Quay West (corner of Robertson Crescent). There will be live entertainment including the Waterfront Ambassadors, acapella trio Kirsten Sandwich, local teen singer Emily Persich and others. On June 18, 2014, the Community Head Injury Resource Services of Toronto (CHIRS) and Thomson, Rogers hosted the 14th Annual CardSharks+ brunch. The new holiday card was unveiled, and a great whoop of excitement was heard across Finch Ave. Originally, Scott Southwell of TR and Hedy Chandler of CHIRS looked at initiating a work program for those suffering head injuries and who had difficulty finding employment, hence the CardSharks+ program was conceived.     Accepting the accolades was Joseph...
