On December 3, 2009, Reverend Kenneth Gibbs, a former priest with the Anglican Church of Canada was convicted of molesting five female parishioners in the 1960's and 1970's.
Reverend Kenneth Gibbs served as a minister of St. John's Anglican Church in Chapleau Ontario from 1966 to 1971 and was a minister at St. Peter the Apostle Church in Elliott Lake from 1971 to 1980. Reverend Gibbs went on to serve various Parishes including Cornwall. He recently left the Anglican Church after serving as a Director at the Anglican Social Services Centre 454 in Ottawa, Ontario.
Thomson Rogers has been retained by a number of women who allege they were sexually assaulted by Reverend Kenneth Gibbs while ministering in Chapleau and Elliott Lake.
