We are pleased to announce that David MacDonald, a partner at Thomson, Rogers was invited by the Ontario Brain Injury Association to speak at their upcoming bi-annual conference – 2017 Acquired Brain Injury Provincial Conference “Making a Difference”.
Catch David’s presentation, Concurrent Session D6 – “CAT Turbocharger – Here, take the Keys” on Friday, November 3 from 9:40 am to 10:40 am.
The presentation, “CAT Turbocharger – Here take the keys: Getting TBI Survivors to CAT quickly using MRBDT positive findings from insurer funded qEEG, fMRI and GOSE assessments”, will focus on recognizing and gaining early entitlement for MVA TBI survivors to CAT designation and funding for treatment.
Based upon the new provisions in the June 1, 2016 SABS CAT definition, advances in medical technology, 2017 arbitration decisions and probative studies supporting the veracity of fMRI and qEEG positive findings for MVA TBI survivors, this interactive presentation for clinicians and survivors focuses on clinical and legal approaches to allow TBI survivors access to CAT benefits to fund their recovery at an early stage.
A paper and PowerPoint Presentation reviewing key CAT arbitral and court decisions will accompany the presentation*.
