SCI Pain and Quality of Life: New Research Initiatives

This seminar explains the impetus for launching studies, coming from the identification of chronic Spinal Cord Injury-related pain as one of the key continuing obstacles to quality of life after discharge from rehabilitation. A consensus process for prioritizing pain study topics will be described which included researchers, clinicians, physicians, SCI consumers, and research funders.

A brief overview will is given of projects completed, in progress, and in future plans.
