We have recently been made aware of a telephone scam involving someone portraying himself as representing Thomson Rogers.

These calls are completely unauthorized. Thomson Rogers, our lawyers, staff and representatives do not randomly call people for any purpose, nor have we ever engaged any third party to do so on our behalf.

At Thomson Rogers, we value our client’s privacy and have very strict guidelines in place to ensure the security of our information.  These calls are completely random and not related to any of our client information. In fact, it is not our own clients who are receiving the calls.

We have been told that the caller speaks with a thick accent and asks whether or not the person answering the phone has been in an accident. When pressed he says he is calling on behalf of Thomson Rogers (or some variation of our actual firm name) and gives various (often incorrect) addresses for our office. That is all we know. We urge anyone receiving such a call to simply hang up on the caller.

We will continue to try and stop this caller. If you have received one of these calls, we ask that you please contact us to provide details to help us to stop him.

In the meantime, we apologize if you are inconvenienced by this individual. Please be assured that we are doing everything we can to end this fraud.
