Recipients of the Thomson Rogers 80th Anniversary Charitable Giveaway Announced

On November 10, 2016, at the Toronto ABI Network Conference, Alan Farrer, managing partner of Thomson Rogers, enjoyed the honour of presenting Spinal Cord Injury Ontario (SCIO) as the grand recipient of the Thomson Rogers 80th Anniversary Charitable Giveaway. SCIO received $30,000.00 to support their continued efforts to assist people with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities achieve independence, self-reliance and full participation in their communities.

Congratulations also goes to the following organizations who received funds from Thomson Rogers:

The War Amps Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program recipient of $15,500.00

Ontario Brain Injury Association recipient of $9,000.00

West Park HealthCare Centre recipient of $9,000.00

On November 28, 2016, Thomson Rogers will be making a further presentation to the Brain Injury Association of Peterborough Region, who will receive $9,000.00.

In addition to these very deserving groups, many of our clients submitted stories about other inspiring groups that will also receive a charitable donation, rounding out the remainder of Thomson Rogers’ 80K giveaway are:

At the request of Tammy Kirkwood – Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital $500

At the request of Frank Mangiardi – War Amputees of Canada – $500

At the request of Nick Morihovitis – Parkinson Foundation of Canada – $500

At the request of Nancy Ryan – Loyalist Humane Society Picton – $500

In memory of Scott Southwell and Tom Leonard – Community Head Injury Rehabilitation Services (CHIRS) – $4,500
