On Thursday, September 8th, 2011 Thomson Rogers, in collaboration with the Toronto ABI Network, will be hosting the 3rd Annual Back-to-School conference –Catastrophic Brain Impairment: Children, Young Adults and their Families (Rehabilitation Strategies). As you know, children and young adults with brain injury claims always pose a challenging rehabilitation puzzle. Hear from Dr. Peter G. Rumney and other medical experts on how to assess injuries, provide treatment, and evaluate these types of claims.

CONFERENCE GOALS
This conference aims to:

  • Provide an update regarding the recommendations of the Catastrophic Impairment Expert Panel to the Financial Services Commission of Ontario
  • Help you prepare for any anticipated legislative changes
  • Provide rehabilitation strategies for dealing with Catastrophic Injuries
  • Provide information on how future care cost reports are prepared, considered, and used in the legal process

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This conference will be of special interest to social workers, discharge planners,  occupational therapist, case managers and other health care professionals who advise and advocate on behalf of children and young adults with catastrophic brain impairment.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
Conference attendance certificates will be provided to all who attend. Registrants are encouraged to review the guidelines issued by their professional college/association for continuing education credits.
